Ridiculous Video of the Day
You used to get this excited at Christmas. Now it's just over the fact that Friday's here- and, thank God, you keep it to yourself.
(p.s. That remote control car really gets the shaft).

Ridiculous Video of the Day
You remember the recorder, right? You had to "learn" to play in the 3rd grade. Well so did this guy. Magical.

Ridiculous Video of the Day
It's all in the editing. Sure, these remix trailers have had their day in the sun (and then some), but this is one I really didn't see coming. Bravo.

Ridiculous Video of the Day
This Taiwanese animation explains how Steve Jobs took the Darth Vader internet role from Bill Gates and created an iPhone dictatorship. In fact, it explains it (I don't know what the heck this woman is saying) in eerily matter-of-fact dictation- much like someone reading the news. (Full disclosure: I'm a notorious Apple-hater). Is that David Arquette as Jason Chen?!

Ridiculous Video of the Day
Thanks to a reader who sent in this one. This is "ridiculous" because it is ridiculously awesome. Who brings a guitar to a governmental commission hearing? This guy does.

Ridiculous Video of the Day
According to this video, I think Archie Bunker may have started the Tea Party in the 1970s. While Caroll O'Connor was liberal in his personal politics, it seems his All In The Family character was ahead of his time- or maybe the same things that are being said today have been discussed for years and years.

Ridiculous Video of the Day
Well folks, you've made it to Friday. You've thought about a lot- where LeBron would be moving, the fact that Russians still think we're in 1959, where you'll watch your next jousting match. Now it's time to take a little time off thinking. And what better way to stop thinking than to watch an animal use another animal for transportation? I give you the Friday RVOTD.

Ridiculous Video of the Day
Wow. Here he is in all his imbecility, my former Governor, Rod Blagojevich. When asked to make a pitch for LeBron James to come to the Bulls, Rod first says he's been following the situation and then explains the winning combo: LeBron James and Chris Bosh from "the Toronto Blue Jays." As great an athlete as Chris Bosh (formerly of the Toronto Raptors, now of the Miami Heat) is, I have yet to see him out on the baseball field in an official capacity. Besides that slip up though, isn't it just silly to see Blagojevich do anything now? Seriously, wouldn't a video of him just, like, eating a kiwi fruit blow your mind?

Ridiculous Video of the Day
This guy is astounding. His logic leaves more than a bit to be desired and he could stand to do a little bit of research. Scotty D.: today's most ridiculous man with an American flag backdrop!

Ridiculous Video of the Day
Despite having a degree in Film Production, I'm not as head-over-heels for documentary films as a lot of people I know. Additionally, when it comes to smart phones, I opted for the Motorola Droid over the iPhone (both because I love everything Google and dislike most things Apple). However, I stand corrected when it comes to 156 Turns, a three and a half minute look at the 2010 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb shot entirely on the iPhone 4 with no color correction. While I'm not entirely captivated by the subject matter (and it does play up the Ducati and iPhone thing a bit much), the fact that the phone's camera can make such high quality stuff means that only bigger things are on the horizon for future artists trying to make their own films. Kudos to Director Seth Schaeffer and his crew!

Bonus Video of the Day- Also Ridiculous
Thanks to a reader who alerted me to this frighteningly bizarre original a capella song about Jack the Ripper. On second thought, no thanks, because it's going to be stuck in my head for the next 12 hours. Anyway, in honor of a long holiday weekend (and the fact that I won't be posting on Monday), here's your bonus RVOTD!
Ridiculous Video of the Day: Panda Murder
There isn't really much you can say about this commercial from Egypt. Just this: if anyone ever offers you Panda Cheese, eat it, or a panda bear will murder you.

Ridiculous Video of the Day
Building on yesterday's RVOTD theme, here is another absolutely ridiculous and blunt campaign ad. This one doesn't suggest- it simply states- that universal healthcare and taxes are the exact same as Africans being sold into slavery and the Holocaust. Way to go, Rick Barber. Real logical sequence you've got there!

Ridiculous Video of the Day
I'm not a cat person- at all. I find cats generally aloof, unfriendly and they hate me (like they hate pretty much everyone else). Today's RVOTD takes a look at what it would have been like, had Lassie been a cat. Bad news.

Ridiculous Video of the Day: American Food Section
I apologize that RVOTD is a little late in the day today- I've been traveling all morning and have yet to figure out how to properly embed Youtube clips from my phone. In any event, along with my earlier post on geography and our limited knowledge of it, the Video of the Day shows a beautiful piece of international relations: the American Food Section at a German supermarket. I'd like to say they're way off on what Americans really eat, but take out all the Italian, Mexican, Thai, Chinese, etc. food we consume and they pretty much nailed it.

Ridiculous Video of the Day: Robots Could Get Creepier?!
Well, it's Friday. For adults that may mean happy hour or a night out on the town. For kids, they're hoping it's Chuck E. Cheese. And, should you wind up there, you'll probably witness the creepiness that is Rock-Afire Explosion, Chuck's animatronic band. Just to whet your appetite, here they are performing Shakira's "Hips Don't Lie," and though I'm sure you want to, heed the advice of the guitar-playing bear and avoid tickle fights!
